Typography

Booklet Design

Design: For this project, I created a typography booklet that serves as a guide to several commonly used typefaces. Each section introduces a font's name, classification, and historical background before highlighting its defining characteristics and displaying both uppercase and lowercase letterforms. The goal was to create a layout that was informative and easy to navigate while still maintaining strong visual appeal. I utilized a clean, primarily monochromatic design system to keep the focus on the typography itself, allowing the content to remain the centerpiece while creating a cohesive and engaging reading experience.

Marketing: From a marketing perspective, this concept could be expanded into a series of typography reference books designed for graphic designers, students, and other creative professionals. Selecting the right typeface is often one of the most challenging aspects of the design process, as typography plays a critical role in communicating tone, personality, and brand identity. By providing both historical context and practical visual examples, this series would serve as an accessible resource that helps designers make more informed typographic decisions. The collection could be marketed as an educational tool, portfolio resource, and creative reference guide for both aspiring and experienced designers.
